Abstract

The history of Azerbaijan, starting from the end of the 1960s to the 21st century, is associated with the name of the outstanding statesman and great leader Heydar Aliyev. Both in the years 1969-1982 when he led the republic for the first time, as well as in his activities as the President of independent Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev served revival in all spheres of social-political, socio-economic and cultural life of our Motherland and worked with all his might for its progress. The medical field is no exception. One of the most important areas for Heydar Aliyev was people's health, the development of healthcare and medical science, and the training of educated, knowledgeable, truly professional medical personnel.
