Choice of Infusion Solution in the Perioperative Period

Abstract

Recently, the topic of discussion in the world literature is the general problems of infusion therapy, as well as the application of crystalloid and synthetic colloid solutions in clinical practice. At the same time, the role of 0.9% sodium chloride and balanced solutions is actively studied [2.4.5.9.11.14.16.20.23.27.30.35-43]. Several studies have shown that saline solutions in infusion therapy affect the electrolyte balance of human blood plasma and are poorly understood by practicing physicians. Incorrect determination of saline solutions leads to changes in the patient's homeostasis and deterioration of clinical outcomes.
